How to Style Your Boyfriends

Originally named after its “borrowed from the boys” style, the Boyfriend Jean is a closet essential for denim-lovers. If you think you can’t pull off this style because you tried boyfriends that were unflattering or frumpy, we hear you. Our designer director Jill Perilman has tried enough of the wrong fits to know how to do it right. She revisits the masculine style with more feminine cuts and silhouettes that flatter any body shape. Think effortlessly chic with a touch of boyish charm.

To show how to dress them up, down and make them your own, we enlisted the help of style-savvy bloggers for a guide on styling the Boyfriend Jean:

   Styling: Peyton

Katie Willcox inspires 60's nostalgia in her bohemian take on the Peyton Slim Boyfriend in Vintage Medium. A metallic sandal, loose flowy top, and round sunnies keep her look bright and airy.

“Casual doesn’t have to mean sloppy. Pairing boyfriend jeans with a fitted sweater or jacket helps to give the look proportion and can take you from the grocery store, running errands and even brunch on a Saturday. A fun printed sock with ankle booties also makes these crop jeans work in colder weather.” - Africa Miranda balances out her dark wash Peyton Slim Boyfriend in Vintage Super Dark with a fitted, peplum sweater.

Styling: Perry
